Magazine Cover Design
The magazine’s title, “Balloon,” serves as a metaphor for the visual representation of locations on a digital map. It aims to symbolize the evolution of people’s activities and urban development over time, mirroring the way balloons drift with the changing wind. Opting for a hands-on approach, I crafted images using traditional materials and employed multimedia techniques to create graphic elements for the magazine.
The front cover is a mix of the letters and the balloon symbol. The back cover is a small part of Sydney CBD map crafted on a lino board and the word “city” hided in the map.

Experimental Masthead Design
This Masthead is also used as the Logo of the magazine which was hand crafted on paper with ruler and digitalised by Adobe Illustrator. The ideas of the masthead design is I tried to craft the brand name with balloon’s round shape and made it bold.
